Cantor Ben-Moshe
Cantor Yitzhak Ben-Moshe serves as
spiritual leader of Congregation Beth El. In this role, Cantor
Ben-Moshe leads all of our services and teaches educational classes to
those of all ages. A member of the Cantors Assembly, with degrees
in Jewish History from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and in
Anthropology from Columbia University, Ben-Moshe has a strong background
in Jewish leadership, education, and teaching.
In
Jacksonville, Ben-Moshe lived between 2001-2008, Ben-Moshe served as
cantor, taught middle, and high school classes, as well as adult education
classes at the Jacksonville Jewish Center. Ben-Moshe also lived in Israel
from 1989 to 1997, most of the time as a member of Kibbutz Hannaton, the
Masorti (Conservative) kibbutz in Lower Galilee. Cantor Ben-Moshe is
married to Dvorah, an attorney who is keenly interested in civil rights
and civic education. They have two children.
